Kasike The Elephant

Chapter One: Once
Gumba lived with her parents in the safari. She had three elder sisters, Daifé, Rimi, and Kasike. For some reason Gumba’s parents seemed to show favoritism to Kasike. Only once had they kissed Gumba, Daifé or Rimi. Only once.
One day Gumba was walking down a dirty slope. Rocks tumbled about her. Suddenly, a man jumped at her out of nowhere. “You seek Her, do you?” he hissed. “Who is Her?” asked Gumba. “Fool, you don’t know of Kasike?” shouted the man. “KASIKE?” yelled Gumba, “she is my sister!”
“Your sister is the Golden Elephant!” gasped the man. “My sister is Kasike, but not an elephant. What are you talking about?” said Gumba. “Kasike is a legendary elephant, but a magic one,” whispered the man. “What do you mean magic?” asked Gumba. “Well,” said the man, “first of all, she is golden as the sun. Ordinary elephants are gray. Next, when she trumpets, white flakes of snow come flying out of her trunk.”
“I-is she r-r-real?” stammered Gumba. “Yes,” hissed the man.
Chapter Two: Silver Elephants
It was a cloudy night. Spooky echoes of strange music filled the air. Silvery elephants paced down the slope. Gumba watched rain drizzle down from the sky. She thought about what the man had said. “She is reeeeal,” he had hissed. Suddenly, there was a loud crash of thunder. The rain poured harder. There was a long gust of wind. Gumba looked out the window. She nearly died when she saw a huge, golden elephant. The thing looked at her, trumpeted and disappeared.
